Sofa

“Stone embraces softness and reveals the beauty of contrast.”

This sofa arises from contrast. A block of travertine stands like a brutalist plinth — rough, almost archaic. It evokes rooftop terraces where a simple mattress lay upon the concrete, covered with fabric or carpet to gather, converse, dream. Above rests a bench covered in mohair velvet and Paisley — a balance between austerity and voluptuousness, roughness and delicacy. A piece transforming the simplicity of everyday life into a contemporary creation, like a terrace suspended between two worlds.

Materials: Travertine, mohair velvet (Maison Nobilis) and Paisley (Watts of Westminster).

Dimensions: L 260 cm × W 100 cm × H 80 cm × Seat H 40 cm.

Price on request.
